I LOVE this engagement session and Lindsey and Kris really do rock. They are troopers – they drove all the way from Dallas and back in one day for their engagement session. I would say the location we decided upon is the epitomy of my style – modern, fresh, architectural…and I think it reflects Lindsey and Kris’s tastes as well. I have to give a huge shout out to a few people for this session – first of all Alexis and La Condesa for allowing us to shoot there. If you are looking for some really amazing food in a gorgeous setting, look no further than La Condesa. It’s the perfect place to sit outside on a nice day, have a few drinks (their watermelon elderflower martini is amazing) and some really good food. Also, another huge shout out – I hurt my leg while working out on the morning of our shoot (Stacy and I are in the process of something we call “project hot” to prepare for Stacy’s wedding in March 2012) and I was limping along and in a good amount of pain. Thanks to Gia with Red Fly for offering to help me out, and thanks to my amazing friend Stacy Sodolak with SMS Photography for coming along on the shoot and helping me with setup and execution! And, Stacy is my most excellent posing friend and the shot from up above at La Condesa was her idea, my execution! We make a great team!
And now, here are some of my favorite shots from the shoot!

Austin Engagement Photos - Modern Photo Session by Eclectic Images | ChezWedd - [...] From Lindsey – Kris and I met at a Cinco de Mayo pool party at my old apartment complex 3 years ago. We hit it off immediately and sat around talking all day. We talked several times that week and then had our first date the next weekend. We’ve been together since and always have a blast together. We were engaged last February 12th. We had been looking at rings for a little while and had found a jeweler that was going to custom make the engagement ring. While we were there looking at the rings the jeweler told me it wouldn’t be ready for a month. This seemed like a long time but I just went with it. The night we got engaged we went out for a wonderful meal at my favorite local restaurant. Kris told me there was a party going on at my old apartment complex (where we had met) and he wanted to drop by and say hi to one of his friends. As we were looking around for his friend walking through the pool Kris turned around, got down on one knee, and proposed. Although I knew it was coming I was still in total shock – it was perfect. We are getting married May 14th at the Kali Kate event pavilion. I’ve always imagined being married outside and I loved the horse farm setting of Kali Kate (I also rode horses growing up so it’s perfect). See more images on the Eclectic Images blog. [...]
