I was thrilled when they asked me to do their family portraits again – I loved taking their photos this past spring! This time, they went for a modern grungy look and I loved it – totally up my alley. Here are my favs – isn’t Hendrix ridiculously adorable?!!

We kept in touch, and when Laura and Ian got engaged I was honored and thrilled to be a part of photographing their wedding (in 2007). Then, along came baby Collin, born 10/11/11. He’s perfect and adorable and they are oh so in love with him. I remember that feeling well, it has only grown since Zoey was born. I hope I was able to capture some of that love, and I even got a little smile out of him!

Below are a couple photos of Laura and I in 1998 while studying abroad.

Ann Elizabeth is the daughter of a wedding coordinator I used to work with often in years past. She was such a perfect little angel for these newborn pics – she had a happy tummy and was very sleepy. We used the books Ann’s grandpa used to read to her mom as a child as a prop – which I thought was so touching.

I’ve got a couple really cool weddings coming up on the blog (wait until you see Britney’s shoes!) as well as some super fun engagement sessions. During July we’ve been on a family vacation to the coast (Corpus Christi) as well as spent a week in Estes Park, Colorado for my brother’s wedding so many, many pics to come from that…

In the meantime, Zoey wanted to show you how to properly eat a cupcake! I can’t believe she is already one year old (today!), time flies…she is an amazing little girl (I cannot believe I am calling her a little girl and not a baby!). She is fun, spunky, silly, sweet, and overall awesomeness.

She is better than I could ever have imagined and I love her so much it makes my heart hurt. She is the most easy going, happy, pleasant baby to be around. And I realize I am completely biased, but other people tell me the same thing :) She is my little mini best friend and I can’t wait to see her grow up (but not too fast!)

So, Michelle’s completely freakin’ adorable baby boy Hendrix is three weeks younger than our Zoey. It was great knowing Michelle thru pregnancy as we could commiserate on the trials and tribulations of the pregnancies! So, I was so honored to take their first official family pictures! We had so much fun, Hendrix was so great and seriously – look at those cheeks!
