Amy and Chris made the drive up to Austin last month to take their engagement photos down on South Congress. We had a blast walking around finding cool spots. Chris was a little nervous at first, but he warmed up after I had Amy jump on his back, and after I made them jump up and down a few times
Chris and Amy are getting married in Houston next month, so look for their wedding photos on the blog after the New Year!

I just wanted to share the save the date cards I recently designed for my baby brother and his fiance Emilie. I was honored to be able to take their photos when he proposed a few months ago, and I also was able to take their engagement photos for them. I’m really happy with how they turned out, and I can’t wait for their wedding (and lucky me, I get to go as a guest!)

I’m so looking forward to shooting Sanaz and Fernando’s wedding this fall at One World Theatre! They decided to have their engagement photos taken at One World as well - it is such a great, versatile location and we had a great time! They were great sports with all the jumping, skipping (their idea!), dipping, laying on the ground, etc, and with the intense heat of that July day. It was a great time and I can’t wait to photograph them some more!

My baby brother Brian recently got engaged and so I offered to take their engagement photos as an engagement gift. My fiance Mike and I had a lot of fun spending the weekend morning with them driving around looking for cool photo spots and having breakfast at our favorite Austin weekend breakfast spot, Hoovers. Mike was a great assistant holding my huge umbrella for a few shots and goofing off the rest of the time, making Brian and Emily laugh. He even posed for a rare photo. Congrats Brian and Emilie - I’m looking forward to actually getting to go to your wedding as a guest and bridesmaid (what a concept!) and also to shooting your bridals and helping you with your save the date cards!

Jennifer and Kelly braved the record high heat to take a few engagement pictures with me recently. Jennifer and Kelly met in culinary school (they are both chefs and are in the process of opening their own individual restaurants currently, along with planning a wedding!) That is some dedication and hard work! I’m really looking forward to their wedding in October where they are sure to have amazing food, I bet. Thanks for bring troopers, guys.

Alysson and Yemboado are getting married in October at San Michele and I’m very much looking forward to shooting their wedding! We photographed their engagement photos near and around Progress Coffee on the Eastside of town and then we went over to Mayfield Park for some more botanical shots. Alysson and Yemboado braved the heat and some ant bites for their pictures, and a trip down from Baltimore! Congrats guys!

Kristi and Nick are getting married in Houston in July and I’ll be driving down to shoot their wedding, but for a chance of scenery they made the trip up to Austin to to have their engagement pictures taken out on South Congress. They are a fun, awesome couple and I’m very much looking forward to shooting their wedding. We had a good time walking around and they got into town early before the shoot and got to explore Austin and check out a few local hotspots. Hope you guys enjoy the pics, and see you in July!

I had so much fun shooting Kristy and Bill recently on South Congress - Bill had an uncanny knack for being goofy and making Kristy laugh which was great for photos. I can’t wait for their wedding and I’m looking forward to designing their save the dates which I will post soon as well.

I had a blast photographing Sarah and Andrew’s engagement session a couple of weeks ago! Sarah picked a really fun location for the first half of the session - South Austin Speed shop. We played around in the junkyard in back for some fun pics with old rusty cars. It is always fun to try a new location! Then, we moved onto South Congress for some more fun shots. Andrew is a ringer for Major Applewhite, which is funny because I shot the wedding of Major and Julie years ago! What a cute, fun couple. I can’t wait for their wedding!
