Despite the dreary, rainy weather I had a great time photographing Courtney and Steve at the amazing W Hotel in downtown Austin for their engagement photos and they were such troopers when I dragged them outside for some shots in the cold wintery weather! I can’t wait for their wedding coming up in just a few months!

lauren and rob | engaged!

I can’t really put into words how much I love Lauren – I have known her for years (she is in the event planning industry) and she always makes me crack up! And I loved meeting Rob as well – they really are a perfect match! Lauren and Rob love Texas country music, so Hills Cafe was the perfect place to start their session – and Lauren even used her childhood blanket as a prop! Then, we hopped over to the Highball for some stylish mod photos – they met for the very first time while bowling so a bowling theme for their session was so relevant!

I am so excited to photograph Lauren and Rob’s wedding at Horseshoe Bay next year alongside Stacy with SMS Photography as part of FOUR studios. And thanks to the assistance of the fabulous Carmela Hartman with In Style Weddings and Destinations, it is sure to be a fabulous event! Can’t wait! Diana M Lott (my good friend and an amazing photographer) and I had a great time photographing Ron and Jessica at Spicewood Vineyards for their engagement session (and our first wedding shoot together as part of FOUR studios)! Their wedding is coming up very quickly and we are looking forward to it!

Stephanie and Ryan | Austin engagement session at El Arbol

Stephanie and Ryan are so cool – but it was so HOT the day we shot their engagement session at El Arbol! We were MELTING and they were such troopers. And with such crazy schedules – Stephanie and Ryan were preparing to move to London days after our session! (lucky them)! I am looking forward to their wedding in Victoria, Texas in just a month!

Oh, and a shout out to El Arbol for allowing us to take the photos at their amazing restaurant! If you haven’t eaten there yet you must try it soon! And the mid century design of the restaurant is amazing!

I’m so excited to shoot John and Jennifer’s wedding this coming fall – I know John from years ago when we both worked at Janus, a mutual fund company. This is where I was working when I first started really doing photography (on the side) in 2000. Little did I know he’d kept up with my work all these years, which is awesome and so flattering! John and Jennifer are totally adorable together – and despite terribly humid weather and a crazy broken shoe, we got some great pics! Here are some of my favorites!

I had a lot of fun with Jen and Kyle shooting their engagement photos – I love that they chose locations that really reflected their individual styles. Kyle LOVES cars, so we shot at Austin Speed Shop for the first part of the session (where coincidentally we had a celebrity sighting, Jesse James was there being filmed for a show). A big shout out to Austin Speed Shop for allowing us to shoot on their property, they were really nice and awesome for letting us invade for a little while. Then, we went down and shot on town lake for a bit. Jen was totally amped up to jump in the lake with Kyle for the last shot of the day – that is until I saw a snake in the water! Ummm, that changed their minds real fast Can’t wait for their wedding in the fall. And now onto the pics!

katie and david | engagement session

Katie and David are completely adorable and so cute together – we had such a fun time walking around taking photos and the park setting fit them so well! I love it how they met at the workplace – Katie is a designer and David is in construction. I cannot wait for their wedding in May at one of my very favorite places – the Wild Onion Ranch. Now onto the photos!

britney and will: fun modern engagements

I had so much fun with Britney and Will on South Congress for their engagement photos despite the drizzly morning! Britney and Will grew up in school together but didn’t really know each other, and then fate brought them together a few years ago when they happened upon one another at the rodeo! I can’t wait for their wedding in June at the Wild Onion Ranch!
