The Berber Bar Mitzvah celebration

I’m so lucky when families who I have worked with in the past come back again to have me shoot more of their family events – such is the case with the Berber family. Last year, I photographed Donna’s birthday celebration, and this year I was honored to photograph the annual fundraiser for their charity organization, The Glimmer of Hope Foundation and also Jake’s amazing Bar Mitzvah celebration. Unfortunately, regulations prohibited photographs of the actual ceremony, however I was lucky enough to be able to photograph the amazing celebration party at The Four Seasons put on by none of than the ladies of Caplan Miller Events. And wow, what a celebration it was – the design and decor was amazing, the food to die for, the music so fun and varied (The Spazmatics as well as DJs) and of course the Berbers and all of their guests had an amazing time, and I think myself and my second shooter Michael were able to capture that in the photos! They even had a fun arcade room for the kids (and some adults!) as well as a hat making station and glow in the dark body paint.You couldn’t have been bored if you tried!

I had the honor of attending and taking some photographs at the annual AWEC Gala which was designed by Gina Whittington of Clink Events. It was so much fun – the theme was dive bar chic and it was held at the Scoot Inn. Merveille did the florals and Primizie catered (yummy grilled cheese sandwich bar, frito pie bar, mini pot pies, and mac and cheese!) Here are some pics of the fabulous details!
