The Process

{deciding} Now that you know a little bit about me you may wonder if I am the right photographer for you. This is sometimes the hardest part of planning a wedding. All I can say is that if I’m the right photographer for you, you’ll just know it Needless to say, I’d love the opportunity to photograph your wedding and I hope you select me if we both feel we are a good match!
{reserve the date}You’ll need to read over and sign a contract and provide me with a $1000 retainer applied towards your balance to reserve the date. Once I receive the retainer, I will not book any other weddings on your day. I only schedule one wedding per day so I can devote my full time and attention to you. I cannot “hold” your date until I receive the contract and deposit. Once I receive the contract and retainer I’ll send you a signed copy for your records, and a link to an online customer site where you can access your wedding details at your convenience.
{schedule shoots} About 2-3 months before you’ll need the photos, you’ll need to schedule your bridal and/or engagement sitting. I don’t schedule sittings on Saturdays because of my busy wedding schedule and Sunday shoots usually need to be reserved at least a month In advance. If you are available to do the shoot on a weekday, my availability is typically much more open. I’ll choose the location, or you can pick a favorite spot. This session will be a great time for us to get to know each other a little better.
{questionnaires} About 4 to 6 weeks prior to your wedding, I will send you an online questionnaire so I can get all of the details of your event. Also, your balance for your coverage is due 30 days prior to the event.
{the day before}  If you’re having a destination wedding or a wedding where I’ll need to travel to your location, this is the day I will arrive in town when possible. Otherwise, I’ll check in with you this day to make sure none of the pertinent photography details have changed.
{it’s here!} I’ll arrive a little early to look around and see what the site is like, if I haven’t already worked at the location previously. A detailed schedule of the day is always invited. This way, I can know where to be and when. T Enjoy your day and leave the photos to me. Relax.
{after the wedding} Approximately 6-8 weeks after your wedding, all of your photos will be posted online for yourselves and friends and family to review. If you’ve chosen the option of paper prints, your prints will be ready about 3-4 weeks after the photos are posted online. You can take your time looking through them and let me know if you would like any copies or enlargements for yourself, family, or friends, or you can order them through the online proofing service. At this time, you’ll also let me know your image selection for the portrait cards if you haven’t already done so. The DVD of digital negatives will also be mailed to you at this time. If you’ve selected an album with your package, you have the option to select the images for your album or I can make the selections for you. Once the image selection has been finalized, Eclectic Images will design an album layout with the images from the wedding that I think will work best to tell your wedding day story. Once you view the album design, you’ll have the opportunity to make a round of changes to add and/or delete images and text. Once the design has been finalized, it will go to printing and binding for 12 weeks.
